Junior Achievement x Neo Financial
Money Independence
Empowering youth through the first card that's really theirs.
Challenge
Neo needed a way into a younger audience — a first financial product for teenagers just starting to build independence. That meant a co-branded card built around four features that mattered most at that age: privacy, security, cashback, and savings. The challenge was making those four fairly adult financial concepts feel like tools for freedom, not fine print, and finding a partner whose mission already spoke that language.
Approach
Real teens were cast through a casting agency, giving the campaign an authentic, unscripted energy rather than a polished actor's read on financial independence. The concept — Money Independence — was built to carry privacy, security, cashback, and savings as one clear idea: this is the first card that's really yours.
Result
The Money Independence concept and Neo's brand language carried directly into the JA Money card and the JA Knowledge Hub — a financial literacy library launched with JA Canada in November 2023, reaching a network that touches over 341,000 youth annually. The campaign's core idea, giving teens the tools to start their financial journey, became the throughline for both the product and the education platform built around it.
